Crucial Telangana meet in New Delhi on sharing assets today!

Detailed report to be ready by November 7 before GoM meets Top bureaucrats from Andhra Pradesh and the Central government will hold their maiden meeting on Friday to kick-start talks on the proposed bifurcation of assets and resources for the physical creation of th new state of Telangana. A battery of secretary-level Andhra officials are flying to the national capital for the meeting as a detailed report on segregation of assets has to be prepared by November 7, when the Group of Ministers working out the nitty-gritty of the bifurcation is scheduled to hold its third meeting here. Andhra Media turning down Telangana journalism graduates?

Allegations are now publicly made on how an Andhra TV channel turned down a journalism graduate from Adilabad saying he can’t do justice for a predominantly Andhra audience. If such incidents repeat, the day is not far when the Telangana people would stop caring for these channels and eventually they would forced to shut in Telangana. Once Telangana State is formed, there would be many new T channels for sure and channels which discriminate with narrowmindedness would be nowhere in such competition.

Telangana: Centre lays out bifurcation roadmap, statehood resolution in Winter Session!

The ongoing stir against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh not withstanding, the government has decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and give formal shape to its decision to grant statehood to Telangana. According to senior functionaries of the UPA involved in dealing with the issue, the Centre hopes to pass the Bill granting statehood in the forthcoming Winter Session of Parliament.
