Channel Boycott Becomes Telangana BJP’s Sole Concern!?

Telangana BJP unit did another exercise to express concern about the boycott of ABN and TV9 yesterday. It urged Governor E S L Narasimhan to take necessary measures for restoration of two Telugu channels — TV9 and ABN — which were blocked out by MSOs in the State. While the State is in a power and water crisis, thanks to AP’s action, the BJP has neither made its views public on those critical issue snor did it broach the subjects with the common governor Narasimhan. Bayyaram Has 18 Million Tonnes Of Ore Worth 16 Lakh Crore

Serious efforts are being made by the Telangana Government to set up a steel plant in Khammam district and a team from the Steel Authority of India Limited visited Bayyaram, Paloncha and Kothagudem mandals on the it’s request recently.As per Govt. sources, SAIL team inspected iron ore availability in the district and the feasible place to set up the steel plant. The team inspected three places Velamanuru, in Paloncha mandal, Kunaram, in Kothagudem mandal and Bayyaram for the project site. Mr Venkat Reddy an official in the mining department said that “There is every possibility to set up a steel plant by SAIL in the district. Telangana To Buy 1000 MW In A Power & Coal Partnership With Chhattisgarh

After purchasing 250 MW from Karnataka, Telangana is moving ahead with it’s plans to buy power and coal from Chhattisgarh in the long term. A visit planned by Suresh Chanda (Telangana’s Principal Secretary, Energy) 2 days ago, to Raipur, was cancelled due to the power emergency created by AP’s defiance in adhering to PPAs. Today, a team of Telangana officials visited Raipur and met with Chhattisgarh officials on reaching an agreement over buying power and coal over the long term of 25 years. Chhattisgarh, Telangana’s northern neighbor, has India’s 3rd biggest coal reserves and 2nd largest coal production. It has surplus power and is a key exporter of power to other States. L&T & HMR Condemn ABN’s Propaganda About Halting Hyderabad Metro Project

Taken aback by wild rumor-mongering of ABN and Andhrajyothy media house that they are ‘quitting’ the Hyderabad Metro Project, HMR MD NVS Reddy and MP Naidu Project Director at L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd, issued public statements that the propaganda is ridiculous. They pointed out that the Telangana Government didn’t even officially convey to them their proposed revisions to the metro rail project, so they wondered how can the media house come up with those wild speculations.
