Serious efforts are being made by the Telangana Government to set up a steel plant in Khammam district and a team from the Steel Authority of India Limited visited Bayyaram, Paloncha and Kothagudem mandals on the it’s request recently.As per Govt. sources, SAIL team inspected iron ore availability in the district and the feasible place to set up the steel plant. Today, a team of Telangana officials visited Raipur and met with Chhattisgarh officials on reaching an agreement over buying power and coal over the long term of 25 years.
