Telangana Super Fast Express coming by year-end!

Looking at the task force formation and the Nov 5 date it has been given along with the Nov 5 date for submissions to GoM, Congress seems to be hell-bent to carve out Telangana State at the earliest by doing all formalities. Even as the task force started its deliberations in Hyderabad, AP DGP and Chief Secretary flied to Delhi to discuss division of All India Services officers serving in the state. This shows how multiple teams are working on different issues at the same time.

The K Vijay Kumar led task force is looking into the all-important law & order aspect during and after bifurcation. AP made steady progress over the years in combating left-wing extremism and Center seems to be making sure bifurcation of State’s police force does not loose the grip. Sources in Delhi suggest there wont be any immediate division of AP’s IAS and IPS officers between AP and Telangana but instead they may be operating as a ‘joint cadre’ for few years to ensure smooth transition. Congress seems to be doing all this to make the bifurcation faster and ensuring that it has enough time among Telangana public to take credit for its formation! So the Telangana Super Fast Express may as well come by year-end with the bill getting passed in winter session.
