Two months after the controversy over it’s derogatory comments against Telangana legislature, CM and dialect, TV9′s promoters got into the act and sent a letter to MSOs directly offering their ‘sincere apologies’ over the matter. The letter marks a big turnaround in TV9′s attitude in the matter. All these days TV9 has been trying every trick to get back into air in Telangana by coercing the MSOs into withdrawing their boycott. BJP and TDP backed it strongly and they went to Governor a dozen times, between them, over the issue giving representations for ‘freedom of press’. TV9 Ravi Prakash Arrested & Released On Bail

Ravi Prakash, CEO of news channel TV9, was today arrested and released on bail in connection with a criminal case registered against the channel. The case was filed in June as reported by Telangana Talkies, on June 19. He had moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail but was not granted. Based on the directions of Hyderabad High Court, Ravi Prakash was supposed to surrender before a local court. He instead today surrendered before the L B Nagar police. A lawyer  S Janaradhan Goud had filed a private complaint in the court, against TV9′s infamous Bullet news bulletin. Mr. Ravi Prakash furnished two sureties each of Rs. 20,000 and a personal bond of Rs. 25,000. He will have to appear before police every first Sunday of the month ...

Cyberabad Court Directs Police To File FIR Against TV9 Ravi Prakash

The 2nd Metropolitan Magistrate Of Cyberabad directed the LB Nagar Police to file a case against TV9 boss Ravi Prakash for the infamous Bullet News episode which used filthy language against Telangana legislature. On a petition file by a local lawyer S Janaradhan Goud, the court directed FIR to be registered under sections 504, 506 of IPC and under relevant sections 4A, 6 of Cable and Network Act.
