T-Cong MLCs more radical than TRS!

T Congress MLCs quoted the Wanchoo committee’s report which looked into Andhra’s division from Madras State and asked Andhra State Secretariat to start functioning from Vizag from day 1! This proposal made to GoM on their behalf was based in the fear that Hyderabad would end up like Chandigarh if it’s allowed to be a joint-capital for 10 years as suggested by CWC. While most MLAs, MPs from Telangana have the same doubt, they could not voice it as it is bound to anger their high command who may in turn refuse tickets to them in next election. MLCs on other hand, anyway won’t be sure about their political future so they seem to have spoke their mind. Also senior MLCs like Amos who was a TNGO president during the 69 struggle have always been forthright in matters related to Telangana. It needs to be seen how seriously this proposal is taken by GoM. While TRS initially welcomed the 10 year joint-capital proposal, it later suggested alternatives and also the fact that the Andhra can have a great capital in less than 10 years but didn’t insist on any number of years. So compared to them, T Cong MLCs proposals looks more radical!
