Marri criticizes TRS proposal to repatriate employees illegally appointed

Marri Shashidhar Reddy, the Congress high command loyalist who usually is silent unless it’s election time, attacked the TRS chief for suggesting repatriating Andhra employees appointed illegally in Telangana quota back to Andhra areas. The suggestion was made by TRS in its report to the GoM as it has been a long standing demand of Telangana employees and students who agitated against these illegal appointments that deprived Telangana of its jobs. Girglani commission estimated these jobs lost anywhere between 1,00,000 – 1,50,000.

Being an MLA, Marri Shashidhar Reddy should have initiated a discussion on these facts and proved TRS and Telangana employees wrong if he didn’t believe they are true. Instead he called the proposal ‘provoking’. He said those proposals would ‘hurt’ feelings of Seemandhras who already are sad with division. That could be true. But what about the sadness Telangana people are suffering because of injustices done to them, even by his own father’s betrayal!? Moreover, If political parties does not have rights to put their proposals to GoM, then why is his Congress government asking for opinions? And interestingly, Marri is among the frontrunners for CM post of Telangana due to his close links with High command!
