Prof. Kodandram keeps the TJAC flag flying; firmly rejects Political career

Even as many TJAC leaders started pursuing political careers in the Telangana State, Prof. Kodandram firmly rejected all offers to accept tickets from all parties, TRS being the latest. Earlier, BJP and Congress made similar offers to the TJAC chairman.

TRS offered Secunderabad Lok Sabha candidacy to the Professor only to be told by the Professor that he would continue to work for the betterment of Telangana apolitically. He said TJAC would serve as a watchdog and he would continue working with TJAC to follow up on the promises and expectations of Telangana Statehood movement. The Professor has been working instrumentally with others in TJAC on a vision document that broadly outlines the agenda of the future government in Telangana. In the present highly politicized atmosphere in Telangana, where everyone seems to be running after a political career, the Professor’s rejection is a testimony to his character and that of the TJAC.
