I Inspired Microsoft CEO To Choose IT Career : Naidu’s Bizarre Claim

Looks like Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu seriously started believing his own propaganda that he ‘created’ IT in the erstwhile state of AP, going by the video going viral on the internet. The video is a clip of what Chandrababu Naidu said in the recently concluded Mahanadu in Gandipet.

In the video clip, Naidu claims he received a call from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s father, retired IAS officer BN. Yugandhar. Naidu claimed Mr Yugandhar said to him that his son went into IT inspired by Chandrababu Naidu’s emphasis on IT in his rule as Chief Minister. Naidu’s claim is odd as his rule as CM only started in 1995 while the Microsoft CEO completed his BE and went to US by 1987. He completed his MS degree in Computer Science by 1990 at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Later he had a brief stint in Sun Microsystems before joining Microsoft in 1992. So by the time Naidu became CM overthrowing his father-in-law, Mr Nadella already spent 3 years in Microsoft.

Satya Nadella is set to visit India and the whole propaganda is set to make him feel awkward. Mr. Nadella’s father himself is a highly respectable Ex-IAS officer, who stays away from limelight. Naidu attributing to him his own comments for some petty gains would have surprised him.
