The Government made it clear all residents of a household should be at home on 19th August to be considered in the social audit being conducted by the Telangana State Government. The Government is trying to plug loopholes and irregularities in the State’s welfare programs to the tune of nearly Rs 10,000 Cr each year.
The Government addressed concerns of NRIs and students studying abroad that they need not worry about not being at home as the Govt will figure out alternate mechanism for considering the NRIs. Parents of students studying abroad though are recommended to provide documentary proof of their wards studying abroad.
The Government termed the survey a social audit and has categorically said it has nothing to do with nativity of residents or the newly introduced FAST scholarship scheme. All Government and private bodies will be closed on Aug 19th to facilitate the survey.

If you guys have a chance. Can you please communicate to some one in government (at higher level) to distribute these forms in advance or arrange people to pick-up, so that some people (atleast educated) can fill them fully or partially and keep them ready for the officials to review? That could save lot of time for the mega excercise.

Please provide us information, on how to register as NRI and permenant residense of telangana. We do not carry any ids of india except passport and samemy wife n kids.
