GHMC is makingt elaborate arrangements to take up the Comprehensive Household Survey on August 19. It appealed all the citizens to be at home on August 19 for giving particulars to the Enumerators.
The main aim of the survey was to create a database of all the households, which will be used to help the poorer sections of the society with government schemes.
Also, if a citizen expected to need an LPG gas connection, a passport or other imported documents from the government in the future, his household’s details would need to be in the database which would be created with this survey.
GHMC’s officials will be distributing survey check slips and the list of documents to be produced, on August 19th. The officials will conduct pre-visits on August 17th and 18th for the survey.
The list of documents that would be handy on the Survey day is below:
- Drinking water connection bill copy,
- property tax receipt,
- LPG connection (consumer voucher),
- electricity bill,
- post office savings,
- bank passbook (first page of all Acs),
- Aadhaar card,
- Caste certificate copy,
- birth certificate copy,
- disabled certificate,
- RC book copy of vehicles owned,
- Pattadar pass book and title deed copy, if any,
- ration card,
- voter ID card,
- mobile phone bill,
- PAN card,
- weaker section housing certificate/allotment order,
- house property document copy, if any,
- pension pass book copy (employees/OAP/Widows/disabled/freedom fighters etc)
GHMC sources say that information related to water and electricity connections, and property tax details, could be gathered from the receipts of the recent bills. Similarly, the citizens could give photocopies of their caste certificates, birth certificates, physically challenged certificates ect. as relevant to the Enumerator, to enable him to compile their full details in the survey.
A pamphlet on the survey and a checklist in all the three popular languages will be given to all households on today and tomorrow. Stickers are also being provided to the Enumerators to paste on the doors of the houses which are being surveyed. If the Enumerators do not visit any house, then the citizens may contact the 24×7 GHMC helpline, 21111111.

sir the intense survey looks very genius idea of the T state government & TRS leaders. But the authorities have not specifically explained how the bank accounts, land details etc personal details will help the government. If it so why not all the TRS leaders,elected representatives at all levels furnish so called details and put on govt or GHMC website first so that people will know the real truth. Example is better than precept. People will then follow the foot steps of the leaders.
