7 Heritage Corridors To Be Spruced Up In Hyderabad

The 4 approach roads to the Charminar, the Musi waterfront, as well as roads around the Golconda and Qutub Shahi Tombs will form the 7 corridors. They are aimed at enhancing the look of the heritage structures and displaying the rich Hyderabadi culture.

A special engineering wing will be established for urban biodiversity. Date palm trees will be planted along the heritage corridors along with leafy creepers on existing walls to improve the aesthetics of the areas to be developed as corridors.

The corporation plans to spend Rs 50 crore on this beautification. GHMC has 20 nurseries under its jurisdiction and is planning to establish 7 more nurseries in the current year.
