TDP-BJP 2014 alliance dilutes BJP’s ‘unequivocal support’ to Telangana

The BJP which has been gradually shifting towards the TDP for a pre-poll alliance and changing it’s Telangana tunes accordingly, came out more clearly abot it’s stance on Telangana bill now. While the TDP and BJP alliance is already decided and only only a formal announcement is awaited for, the BJP is aligning it’s Telangana policy with TDP and has now said it won’t support the Bill unless Congress pacifies it’s Seemandhra MPs from disrupting the LokSabha and RajyaSabha proceedings. As things stand, Congress MPs from Seemandhra are gearing up to show the same disruption drama in the ensuing Loksabha session and how changed BJP’s stand will affect the bill is to be seen.

Meanwhile, Congress has taken the hard line and said it would introduce the bill in Parliament despite the opposition from Seemandhra leaders. Whether the Congress would suspend the disrupting members and get the bill passed is to be seen.
