Telangana state cabinet met for 4 hours on Monday, chaired by chief minister KCR, and reiterated its stand against the Centre’s move to hand over to the governor  powers of over law and order in Hyderabad. CM KCR and his cabinet decided upon 43 important decisions today. Among the important decisions, the Government reiterated it will issue loan waiver as per poll promise and that would benefit 39,07,409 farmers. The Govt scrapped Fee Reimbursement & Introduced a new scheme called Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana (FAST) in it’s place. FAST issues scholarship based on income and nativity criteria to the students. A committee will shortly issue all guidelines in this regard. For nativity, 1956 is considered cutoff for families looking to benefit under the scheme.
