Here Are The Telangana Cabinet Decisions Made Yesterday

Telangana state cabinet met for 4 hours on Monday, chaired by chief minister KCR, and reiterated its stand against the Centre’s move to hand over to the governor  powers of over law and order in Hyderabad. The cabinet discussed the happenings in Parliament and the reply given by the Union home minister over the issue to TRS MPs.

The cabinet discussed several issues and these are the important decisions made:

1. The Cabinet noted and appreciated that this year the Independence Day Celebrations will be held at the Historical Golconda Fort.

2.

  • The Government has issued orders for the release of 480.42 Crores towards input subsidy which was pending for last five years. About 26 Lakh farmers will be benefited by this.
  • It was decided to impress upon the RBI to consider other districts also for Loan re-schedulement in view of the wide spread damage to crops in the last five years. The Cabinet also directed the Finance Secretary to rush to Mumbai to discuss the matter with RBI.

3. Cabinet has taken note of Supreme Court Judgement in Admissions. The Cabinet felt that necessary steps may be taken to implement the same.

4. The Cabinet noted the details of the Land purchase Scheme and launching of the same from 15th August 2014.

5. The Cabinet expressed its concern at the issue of the letter from the Government of India regarding Governor’s powers under section (8) of State Reorganisation Act and reiterated the stand of the Government as already communicated to Government of India.
