Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof. Kodandaram on Saturday called upon the people to observe August 9 as ‘anti-Polavaram Project Day’. August 9 is The International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. In India, it’s referred to as Adivasi day. Speaking to the media here today at the TNGO office where the TJAC meeting was held, Prof. Kodandaram said the meeting has unanimously decided to observe August 9 as ‘anti- Polavaram Project day’. He also slammed the State Higher Education Council saying that it crossed its limits in announcing EAMCET counseling.
