Seemandhra leaders hoping for a miracle!

As the GoM is meeting and working everyday on finalizing its recommendations to be incorporated in the Cabinet bill on Telangana, Seemandhra political leadership and media is hoping for a miracle to stop the process in its track.

GoM head Sushilkumar Shinde and Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday met officials of the various ministries concerned and discussed some key issues. The draft finalization process will continue on Wednesday when more GoM members will join them for discussions. On Thursday, the GoM would come out with its recommendations that would then be sent to the Cabinet for being included in the draft bill. The cabinet is reportedly looking to send the draft bill to the President on 28 Nov. Reports say the President then would send the bill and give 2 weeks for AP assembly to convey its opinion on it. Winter session starts on 5th Dec and the once the AP assembly conveys its views, the bill would be placed in Parliament in the winter session.

With the whole plan worked out, most of the Seemandhra leaders are hoping BJP would come to their rescue but BJP’s response so far has not been encouraging. As the Congress has completely taken the lead with regard to the bill, BJP sees to point in playing spoilsport in this unpredictable situation and lose whatever mileage it gained by supporting and participating in Telangana movement so far. On the other hand, the legal route of 10 odd petitions in supreme court reached the dead end with the Supreme Court dismissing them. Looks like only a miracle can save the cause of United AP.
