Real Star Srihari passes away

Shockingly, Real Star Srihari passed away in a Mumbai hospital today. There was no news earlier about the liver problems he has been having which lead to his sad demise. He was looking ill though in last few months but no one suspected that to be a health problem.

Srihari is born and brought up in Balanagar in Hyderabad to parents who hailed from Krishna district. He came up the hard way while his family toiled in a mechanic shop. He said sometime back how he cherishes the fruits of his struggle by sending his children to school only in a Mercedes Benz! It was Vijayawada strongman Vangaveeti MohanaRanga who introduced Srihari to Dasari Narayan Rao for a movie hero chance. Prior to that, Srihari participated in national level gymnastics championships multiple times. Srihari said he chose gymnastics as a path to become a action hero after watching Bruce Lee movies. Srihari has been a big fan of Bruce Lee and he is the first major actor to get a six pack in Telugu Film industry, probably among the first few in Indian film industry. I remember seeing him in a six pack in a TV series which also featured his now wife Shanthi. Srihari is friends with Hyderabad politicians like Danam Nagender and Anjan Kumar Yadav from their college days. His daughter died at a young age and he started a foundation on her name in Medchal. His untimely demise is a huge loss for Telugu film industry. He along with his co-brother Prakash Raj are two most reliable character artists in Telugu film industry. His departure is flooding the Telugu moviegoers with the many memorable character roles he played, including the one of Sher Khan in Magadheera. Our condolences for his family.
