Six advisers were appointed to K Chandrasekhar Rao government on Monday.

Ramana Chary, who is interested in cultural and religious activities, may be asked to look after endowments, Sanskrit Board and other issues. KCR had earlier declared that there will be no Endowments department in Telangana and it will be rechristened as Dharmika Manadli, which will be headed by religious heads.
R Vidyasagara Rao is an irrigation expert who worked as chief engineer at the Central Water Commission (CWC). He may be asked to look after irrigation-related issues, mostly getting permissions for projects, water tribunal issues, protecting the rights of Telangana in irrigation waters.
BV Papa Rao, a retired IAS officer, was Home Secretary of Assam and took voluntary retirement. He worked in the United Nations (UN) too. GR Reddy was an expert in economic affairs.
GR Reddy, an officer of Indian Economic Services (IES) served as advisor to AP government at the fag-end of Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government. A native of Karimnagar, this officer of 1971 batch of IES who retired as Financial Advisor in Central Revenue Ministry is considered an expert in Centre-State financial relations and authored the book Centre-state Financial Relations: A Study in Levels of Development of States.
AK Goel (retired in 2010) and A Ramalaxman (retired in 2004) are retired IAS officials who plunged into Telangana movement in 2011. The 1974 batch & 1976 batch officers have been the brains behind the data and documents TRS came up with to explain Telangana’s issues and lay down visions for future. Goel, from UP, retired as a Spl. Chief Secretary of AP after working in almost all departments.
