Jharkhand Assembly Welcomes Creation Of Telangana

Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Shashank Sekhar Bhokta today described the creation of Telangana state as a “pleasant event.” 

In his address to the House on the opening day of the monsoon session, Bhokta said after relentless struggle the people of the region got Telangana as the 29th state of the country. 

Congratulating Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on winning the assembly elections, Bhokta expressed hope that Telugu Desam and Telangana Rastriya Samiti governments would be able to meet the aspirations of the people in their respective states. 

The Speaker also extended good wishes to Biju Janata Dalleader and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for winning the elections and starting a “new innings.
