GoM to meet after Jan 30 and plan T Bill introduction in Parliament session

Telangana Bill’s journey has come to a climax now. With just 3 days left and with no chance of further discussions in the divided AP Assembly, attention has now moved to Delhi where all action would shift to once the President’s deadline ends on January 30. Sources in Delhi say the GoM on Telangana would meet again soon after the deadline ends and decide the next course of action regarding the bill to introduce it in Parliament. Details would be added to the bill, especially regarding the ‘common capital’ clause and other administrative and technical details before the bill is introduced in Parliament.

Sources in Delhi say the tamasha seen for last few weeks in AP Assembly had no bearing on the plan of UPA regarding the bill. The BJP too is expected to stick to it’s earlier support to the bill. More details of these would emerge in next 3 days. Let us wait and watch.
