For Them, Sri Krishna Committee’s VK Duggal Makes For ‘Good’ Telangana Governor!

Even as a clear attempt is made to take control over Hyderabad through the Governor’s position by the powerful Seemandhra lobby, there seems to be attempts to change the present Governor too, to bring in a ‘good’ one, by the ruling NDA. Soon after assuming power, NDA sounded out quite a few Governors appointed by Congress earlier and started putting up pro-BJP candidates in their places. Attempts reportedly are being made now to transfer Manipur Governor VK Duggal, of Sri Krishna Committee ‘fame’, to Telangana.

The NDA government on Sunday transferred Gujarat Governor Kamla Beniwal, who had a bitter relation with Narendra Modi, to Mizoram. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi, Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt and Nagaland Governor Ashwani Kumar had stepped down from their respective posts, after being asked to do so by Modi sarkar. MK Narayanan (West Bengal) and BV Wanchoo (Goa) also had put in their papers after a CBI investigation.

With Telangana & AP Govts just settling down, the Governor here hasn’t been changed till now as ESL Narasimhan, having seen the bifurcation activities, would be handy in this transition face. And things started to move now on the ‘law & order’ front with the MHA’s circular and the Andhra lobby is reportedly asking for VK Duggal, the member-secretary of the infamous Sri Krishna Committee, to be placed as Telangana Governor. VK Duggal is the brain behind the secret Chapter 8 and we can very well expect what he can offer Telangana State Government, under the cover of Section 8 of AP Re Org Act, which gives additional ‘duties’ to Governor over law & order in Telangana.

Mr. Duggal served in the Indian Army in initial part of his career and retired as Union home secretary in 2007. He served on several committees while in service and is considered very close to any Andhra businessmen-MPs. With the MHA circular now under scanner for constitutional validity, VK Duggal could very well become the Plan B of Andhra lobby.
