Andhra bureaucrats want to move to new capital within 1 year!

Andhra bureaucrats involved in bifurcation activity presently in full swing have reportedly mentioned in all reports to committees overseeing the bifurcation exercise that the new government of residuary AP that would be formed after election would move to the new capital, wherever it is, within the 1st year.

This was to avoid logistical and monetary issues that are bound to come up for operating out of Joint capital in Hyderabad. This, the babus aver, would save avoidable expenses for AP State in the temporary capital for their infrastructure and the impracticality of overseeing crucial infrastructure building activity in Andhra from afar, in Hyderabad. Apparently, the babus don’t want to lose oversight of the multi-billion dollar projects that would immediately take off after the new government takes off. Nor would the newly elected contractor MLAs/MPs prefer sitting in Hyderabad while lucrative projects are up for garbs in Andhra. Senior babus say had Hyderabad been declared a UT or had revenue-sharing of Hyderabad agreed to, things would have been different. Then Andhras would have been still invested in Hyderabad, with their clout at centre and the natural upward swing in real estate, and would have not shown any hurry to move out of Hyderabad.

Based on this input, Andhra Govt. in Hyderabad has been allowed to share existing infrastructure with Telangana on a temporary basis, instead of getting allotted other properties like the Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute OR HPS Begumpet. All attention is now on the probable new capital of Andhra and things would speed up in that direction soon after the election.

  1. Residual Andhra Pradesh will do wonders given it’s resources, coastline, knowledge and entrepreneur skills!
