Breaking the myth that it is nowhere in the reckoning in the country’s largest constituency, Malkajgiri, TRS stormed the constituency in this election and almost made it getting past YSRCP, LSP and Congress. It fell short by just 1.78% votes which is around 28000 votes and lost to the TDP-BJP alliance candidate Malla Reddy. Malla Reddy got 32.3% while Mynampally got 30.52%. Considering that TRS fought alone while TDP aligned with BJP and Congress with CPI, one can imagine the promise this constituency holds for TRS in future elections.
