Allotment of members through lottery in the Rajya Sabha to the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was completed on Friday in the chambers of the Chairman Hamid Ansari. As per the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 7 members have been allotted to Telangana and 11 to the residual state of Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, the vocal supporters of the 2 States are allotted to opposite State. Keshava Rao of TRS has been allotted to Andhra while CM Ramesh and KVP have been allotted to Telangana.
