After Water Board, Electricity board, Medicos’, GHMC, RTC, Singareni, now it is the turn of Press Club of Hyderabad to be won by Telangana activists. 10 of the 11 Pro-Telangana Journos swept the elections for the prestigious 50 year old club, comprising over 1000 professionals from media. Independent Journalist and film-maker C Vanaja is elected the Vice-President. She has also become the first woman office bearer ever for the Press Club. Vanaja C made the famous documentary ‘OU’ddakanada that showed the police repression on OU Campus at the height of the agitation after the December 2009 rollback of Telangana decision.
