In 1971 Telangana Praja Samithi won 11 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats. It stalled the tsunami of Indira Gandhi after Bangladesh was created winning war with Pakistan. None could imagine the strength of Telangana voter deciding so differently. Nation was surprised at that stunning defeat of Congress here, while it won all over India.
