Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao’s meeting with his Maharashtra counterpart Hasan Mushrif at Mumbai on Wednesday is successful in clearing the way for Pranahita project. Both States have agreed to remove irritants in the progress of various Inter-State irrigation projects. Both Telangana and Maharastra Governments decided to finalise the alignment for Pranahita barrage, submergence area, full reservoir level and related issues by next month. The Maharashtra government has agreed to convene the meeting of the standing committee to start implementation of the project. The committee comprises officers of both States.
