Telangana Govt. Contacts External Affairs Ministry For It’s Workers’ Safety

Telangana Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma is in touch with External Affairs Ministry to enquire about the well-being of Telangana workers trapped in Iraq, in the latest strife triggered by Al Qaeda inspired rebels. Chief Minister KCR ordered the CS to look into the issue as there are good number of Telangana people in construction industry in Iraq. There are an estimated 18,000 Indians in Iraq. “The International Red Crescent Society volunteers visited the 46 Indian nurses that were stranded in a hospital they were working in since last week,” India’s Ambassador A.
