Goa Lokayukta Justice B Sudarshan Reddy, one of most prominent judges to come from Telangana, on Thursday tendered his resignation, citing personal reasons. In September, two Goa government departments which had made recruitments by the hundreds before the 2012 Assembly Elections were issued notice by the state Lokayukta. Justice Reddy had asked the Goa Medical College and the state health department to explain the process followed in the hiring drive. It is speculated that action lead to today’s resignation. Mr Reddy took up that position only in March this year.
