Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Commission (APSMC) has requested the Centre to order a CBI probe into irregularities in management of Wakf properties in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh territories, now part of Telangana & AP. Commission Chairman Abid Rasool Khan made this appeal in a meeting with Union Minister for Minority Affairs Najma Heptulla in Hyderabad. During Heptulla’s visit to the city, Khan briefed her on the activities of the Commission, its findings and also the surveys conducted by the panel.
