KCR Says Telangana Wont Pay For AP Govt. Expenses In Hyderabad

CM-Designate KCR clearly told AP Chief Secretary PK Mohanty, who met him on friday, that Telangana State Govt. won’t foot the bill of AP Govt expenses in Hyderabad for the period it serves as Joint Capital. AP Govt. will function from Hyderabad for few years before it moves to it’s new capital in Andhra and the administration facilities it will share with Telangana Govt. include the secretariat, assembly buildings, guest houses and housing facilities for all elected MLAs, bureaucracy & other Govt. machinery. All PSUs operating for AP Govt. are shared and their administrative & employee facilities in Hyderabad too are shared. Each year, expenses for these facilities run into thousands of crores but nothing the reports prepared by CS Mohanty indicated AP Govt. will share these expenses. So KCR conveyed to the CS that as long as AP Govt. shares administrative, training and operating facilities in Hyderabad, it will have to share the bill with Telangana State Govt. KCR also suggested to the Chief Secretary to write to Centre in this regard and clear the air.
