The Telangana government plans to establish tribal and horticulture universities, cotton and silk hub, and pursue with the Railway Ministry to set up a coach factory in Kazipet. As per the AP Reorganisation Act, a tribal university would be established at the earliest, Governor E S L Narasimhan said in his address to the maiden session of both Houses of Telangana state, which came into being on June 2. “We are aware that there is demand from tribals of plain areas for sanctioning an ITDA (Integrated Tribal Development Agency) for them.
