KCR demanding Governor Narasimhan be replaced as Telangana is created?

News from Delhi say that KCR has expressed his displeasure over continuance of Governor ESL Narasimhan as the common governor of Telangana and AP. It is public knowledge that the Governor went overboard while tackling Telangana movement and the activists look at him as a tyrant. On the other hand, he was pampering Samaikyandra activists even while they threatened the security in Hyderabad with events like ‘Save AP’.

As per the provisions of the Telangana Bill, the governor of Telangana has unique law and order powers over Hyderabad overriding the Telangana Government. He could also serve as the common Governor for both TG and AP. In view of this, it is all the more important for TRS that the Governor shouldn’t come with a baggage against Telangana Statehood. It needs to be seen if KCR’s move works.
