Even before the demerger is to take place, looks like the BJP is going ahead with bifurcating its AP state unit into two, if sources are to be believed.
Nagam Janardhan Reddy said “The Congress has already stood exposed by its double standards. While it is trying to whip up the sentiments in both the regions through its doublespeak, the BJP can voice their concerns genuinely . In any case, we have to go for two units after the state is divided. Why don’t we do it now?” while another spokesperson N Ramachandra Rao said “The priorities of the two regions of Telangana and Seemandhra have become completely different in the wake of the proposed bifurcation of the state. There is no point in trying to address them with a single party set-up. Many in the party are of the opinion that two independent units would do better justice”
Recently, differences cropped up between Seemandhra leaders and Kishan Reddy regarding the stance to be taken on UPA’s Telangana decision and they seem to have fastened this bifurcation. This way BJP plans to be poll-ready compared to Congress and TDP in both regions.
