KCR’s 1st Meeting With Modi Today

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers in New Delhi tomorrow with a list of demands, which include special economic incentives for the new state. It would be Rao’s maiden visit to the national capital after taking over as the first Chief Minister of Telangana. Other demands include national project status for Pranahita-Chevella lift irrigation scheme and the Palamuru lift irrigation scheme and scrapping of the merger of seven mandals in Bhadrachalam division — which would be affected by the Polavaram irrigation project — with Andhra Pradesh, TRS sources said in Hyderabad. Poorna & Anand Share Their Experiences Of Mt.Everest Conquest

At 6 a.m. on May 25, thirteen-year-old Malavath Poorna became the youngest girl to climb the world’s tallest peak. She had carried with her a photograph of Dalit leader Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the Tricolour in a plastic bag acquired from a fancy store in Secunderabad. Among her belongings was also a flag of her school, the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (APSWREIS), where Poorna is completing Class IX from the Nizamabad district, now in the newly-created Telangana State. KCR Asks For Complete Details Of Farm Loans From Bankers

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao today directed the bankers to come up with all detailed reports within a week pertaining to farmers, who got loans from June 2013 to June 2014. Inaugurating the first bankers’ meeting at Secretariat here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said his Government was committed to keep the promise of loan waiver to farmers in two weeks. Finance Minister Etela Rajender and Agriculture Minister P Srinivas Reddy were present at the meeting. According to the information, Rs 10,000 crores would waived benefiting some 23 lakh farmers in 10 Telangana districts.
