Telangana CM KCR said he would order an inquiry into the scams in Government sponsored housing and promised to punish all people’s representatives, officials and middlemen involved in irregularities. He quoted statistics and said that as part of the weaker section housing scheme undertaken by successive governments since 1983 till date, 42 lakh houses have been constructed while 5 lakh were in semi-finished stage and 8 lakh more were sanctioned.
