Will Loksatta’s JP answer these questions from Prof. Nageshwar?

After the Operation Loksabha sting done by a TV channel, while Loksatta released statements suspending and then expelling its Delhi Loksatta President, JP refused to answer any questions that the sting throwed up. Now, his opponent from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha, Prof Nageshwar, who is contesting as an independent, put forth specific questions to JP about his deal with BJP, TDP and his Pro-Corporate lobbyism. He questions the truth in JP’s claims about ‘new politics’ for new generation.

1. Is there a secret deal that JP would be made minister if Modi forms a Govt.? Is this why despite no alliance between BJP and LSP, JP is repeatedly supporting Modi?

2. If JP believes in supporting NDA, why did he talk to AAP and Arvind Kejriwal, which are dead against Modi? Is this not opportunistic politics on behalf of JP?

3. TDP-BJP have an alliance in Malkajgiri. By expressing support to BJP, is JP asking BJP supporters to vote for him? Is this ethical or ‘new generation’ politics? What would he say to BJP candidate contesting from Malkajgiri?

4. According to Anurag Kejriwal, JP’s ministry, if happens, would serve corporates with lobbying. Can JP confirm or deny that he would lobby for Corporate houses? Because he did speak out against labor rights and said they are not important earlier.

5. JP should clarify why he never speaks about the controversy around gas pricing involving Reliance and it’s relations to Congress and BJP while wholeheartedly supporting NDA now.

6. Why JP speaks against corruption and scams in general but does not speak against corporate houses. For instance, his comments on coal scam does not refer to those who abetted it – Tatas or Jindals.

7. Why does JP firmly oppose loan waivers to farmers, but backs up subsidies for big corporate businesses? How is Delhi Loksatta president Anurag Kejriwal’s stance in the sting different from this open JP’s stance? JP should clarify.

8. JP’s repeated talks with TDP and BJP for alliance are dangerous traditional politics. Will JP speak about this?

9. Loksatta supporters have no clue about these confusing alliance talks. Loksatta should be transparent and democratic about this and speak out.

10. Why did Loksatta, despite announcing a candidate, not file nomination for Chevella Lok Sabha, despite no deal with TDP which it seems to be supporting there.

11. How can JP, being a president of one party say BJP-TDP win is historic necessity!?

12. If it is a historic necessity for TDP-BJP combine to win this election, as JP seemed to have told LSP’s Chevella candidate, why is JP contesting from Malkajgiri instead of supporting TDP-BJP candidate there?

13. Expelling Anurag from LSP doesn’t set right the wrongs he revealed. JP should clear the questions raised.

14. Can JP say that he won’t join Modi Govt. if its formed? Or would he be willing to join BS Yeddyurappa and Sriramulu, accused in mining scams, in the cabinet?

15. JP earlier certified Sonia, now Modi. Loksatta supporters are asking what is the agenda and direction JP is following.

Loksatta supporters can hope at least Prof. Nageshwar’s questions will get some answers, if not theirs!
