GHMC is makingt elaborate arrangements to take up the Comprehensive Household Survey on August 19. It appealed all the citizens to be at home on August 19 for giving particulars to the Enumerators. The main aim of the survey was to create a database of all the households, which will be used to help the poorer sections of the society with government schemes. Also, if a citizen expected to need an LPG gas connection, a passport or other imported documents from the government in the future, his household’s details would need to be in the database which would be created with this survey. Ravi Prakash, CEO of news channel TV9, was today arrested and released on bail in connection with a criminal case registered against the channel. The case was filed in June as reported by Telangana Talkies, on June 19. He had moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail but was not granted. Based on the directions of Hyderabad High Court, Ravi Prakash was supposed to surrender before a local court. He instead today surrendered before the L B Nagar police. A lawyer  S Janaradhan Goud had filed a private complaint in the court, against TV9′s infamous Bullet news bulletin. Mr. Ravi Prakash furnished two sureties each of Rs. 20,000 and a personal bond of Rs. 25,000. He will have to appear before police every first Sunday of the month ...

The Telangana government has appointed retired Prof of ASCI Gautam Pingle to work on restructuring PSUs of composite AP. He will be continuing the work of the 3 member committee that was formed to prepare a draft demerger plan for all companies mentioned in the Schedule IX of the AP Reorganisation Act. The three-member committee to prepare  met twice and discussed several plans with CEOs/ joint MDs of eight companies and recommended engaging the services of Gautam Pingle, who has vast experiences in Public Administration.
