73,306 Registered Firms In Telangana & 19,673 In AP

The Registrar of Companies (RoC) is reported to have announced that AP has only 19,673 registered firms as against 73,306 in Telangana. The RoC also said that not many companies are now transferring base from TS to AP as Inter State transfer came into effect and the transfer process is now complex. In the two months after Parliament passed the Bill and before the Appointed Day, around 700 firms had shifted base to AP. According to latest figures of the Registrar of Companies, in June, post bifurcation, around 211 new companies with Rs 36.74 crore authorised capital were registered in AP and 177 with Rs 10.96 crore authorized capital in Telangana.
