The CII, in partnership with Telangana Govt, organized a conference on Manufacturing Excellence called ‘Man’Exe 2014, in Hyderabad yesterday. In his keynote address, Dr K Pradeep Chandra, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Telangana, sought Partnership between the Large Manufacturing Companies and Micro & Small Manufacturing Enterprises to bring out and innovative ecosystem in the manufacturing sector. “The Japanese system of “Just in Time Delivery” was successful by involving the vendors and service providers in the innovation value chain by the larger manufacturing companies. Mahindra To Set Up Dhruv Tractor Manufacturing Plant With Rs 300 Cr

Mahindra and Mahindra chief executive Pravin Shah on Saturday met Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at the Secretariat and offered to set up a manufacturing plant in Zaheerabad for Dhruv tractors with an investment of over Rs 300 crore. Mahindra has been running Asia’s largest tractor manufacturing plant in Zaheerabad. The CM assured him that the government will provide all the facilities for setting up the plant at the earliest. CM also urged Mr Shah to come out with proposals to make Hyderabad, a pollution-free city, by manufacturing battery-run vehicles along the lines of those in developed countries. It’s Not Trial Run, Says Hyderabad Metro

Curiosity reigned among people of Nagole and Uppal who had the first glimpse of Hyderabad Metro Rail chugging on the main tracks between Nagole and Survey of India yesterday. US Based First Solar Making India Debut In Telangana, With 45 MW Plant

Biggest US Solar panel maker & developer ‘First Solar’ is making it’s India entry in Telangana with a 45MW PV plant. The facility, which will be the company’s 1stproject in the country, will supply electricity to Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana State Limited under a 20-year power purchase agreement. The PPA has been signed and project will be live next year.
