The mandals which were transferred to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre through the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (amendment) Bill, 2014, in July are now, without any controversy, part of AP. While speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, CM KCR was asked on why the survey exercise is not being carried out in the 7 mandals of AP. In the T News Live show yesterday, CM KCR said the Delhi rulers have by force separated 7 mandals of Telangana and merged them into AP. He said it is a bitter reality now and not much can be done. With this, the curtains came down on the contentious issue. Earlier, while the TRS was claiming to go to court over procedural lapses in getting the amendment passed, they seem to have accepted the reality right after passage of the Polavaram ordinance.
