‘Secular’ Newspaper ‘The Hindu’ bans Non-Veg for it’s employees!

For long, The Hindu has been giving lengthy speeches on secularism and liberalism in this country. However, when it comes to it’s internal affairs, The Hindu once again proved it’s a chip of old block of traditionalism when it reiterated with an internal circular that vegetarian food is banned in it’s dining halls. Apparently, banning employees from bringing food of their choice does not count as violating their rights for The Hindu!

The Hindu was already in news for the family feud that has been central to it’s management troubles over the years but this step would take the icing on the take. Social media reacted furiously to the news. Some suggested The Hindu should rename itself The Brahmin!
